THE QUESTION OF THE MONTH Q. Does wetting the filter before brewing really help? A. Yes.To get the most flavor from your coffee wet your filter before you use it, then make your coffee "BLOOM". Pour a small amount of hot (but not boiling) water over the coffee grounds, just enough to wet them. Wait a few moments until some water flows through the filter, indicating the coffee grounds have had enough time to "BLOOM." Gradually pour the rest of the water over the grounds, remove the filter and serve.
